Can you reach the Old Manse by public transport?
The Old Manse is 'off the beaten track', situated in the Parish of Lonmay about five minutes from the village. The only bus stop is on the B9033 approximately one mile from our home. A car is a definite requirement when planning a holiday with us.
How far are you from Fraserburgh?
Approximately six miles south of Fraserburgh, a ten minute drive by car.
How far are you from Peterhead?
Just over 12 miles, an easy 20 minutes by car.
Where can we eat?
There is a hotel in the village of Lonmay, five minutes away by car. A hotel with restaurant in the nearby village of St Combs and a variety of choices in Fraserburgh.
Do you serve evening meals?
Dinner (available when staying 2 or more nights, except in August) at the Old Manse has to be booked prior to arrival and the menu depends upon guests' requirements. Guests are welcome to bring in their own wines and have them served along with their meal.
Can we get an early breakfast?
Yes. Our business guests frequently require breakfast before our normal hours of serving which are 8:00am to 9:15am. Just arrange when booking or on arrival.
Do you accept children?
Well behaved children are welcome, however we are not set up with cots, high chairs or z-beds and parents are responsible for supplying these for the very young. Older children are treated as adults.
Can we bring our dog?
Sorry much as we love dogs our bullmastiff Emma does not accept other dogs on her patch.
Do you take credit cards?
Yes. We now accept Bank Cards and Credit Cards, however, all credit card transactions are subject to a 4% handling charge.
Does Lonmay Old Manse have disabled access?
No. Very sorry this early 19th Century property is not suitable for wheelchair access because the three en-suite bedrooms are only accessible by the staircase.
Is the property centrally heated?
Yes. The Old Manse has central heating throughout, with thermostatically controlled radiators. In addition, the public rooms have open fires in the winter or when applicable.
